Play Our Song

 Our story didn’t begin perfectly but it began with a choice.  Years ago, we chose each other. We began building a life together and raising our  family, learning as we went, growing through every season the good, the hard, the  stretching, and the refining. There were moments when we were simply surviving.  Moments when we didn’t yet understand what God was doing behind the scenes.  But He was there.  There were seasons marked by struggle and wounds from the past seasons that  tested our strength and our commitment. Looking back now, we see that God was not  distant; He was preparing us. Not just for marriage, but for covenant.  He met us in our weaknesses. He restored what needed restoring. He healed what  needed healing. He strengthened what could have been broken. What once felt heavy  became testimony. What once felt uncertain became surrender.  We were legally married years ago, but over time God began calling us deeper. He  showed us that marriage is more than love it is sacrifice, forgiveness, humility, and  choosing each other daily. Most importantly, it is placing Him at the center of  everything.  This celebration is not the beginning of our relationship. It is a rededication a  moment where we stand before God, our family, and our friends and say:  “We see what You’ve done in us. We see how You carried us. And we choose You at  the center of it all.”  Everything we are today as husband and wife, and especially as parents, is  because of His grace.  Athena, David, and Alyson are living reminders of God’s grace in our lives the reason we fought, the reason we grew, and the reason we choose covenant every  single day.  Our children get to witness a love that has been refined by faith, strengthened through  prayer, and rebuilt on truth.  On October 17, 2026, we won’t just be celebrating a wedding. We will be celebrating  redemption, growth, and the faithfulness of God in our story.  “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15  To God be the glory for what He has done and for what He is still writing. 

 Nuestra historia no comenzó de manera perfecta pero comenzó con una decisión.  Hace años, nos elegimos el uno al otro. Comenzamos a construir una vida juntos y a  formar nuestra familia, aprendiendo en el camino y creciendo en cada temporada  las buenas, las difíciles, las que nos estiraron y las que nos refinaron. Hubo  momentos en los que simplemente estábamos sobreviviendo. Momentos en los que  aún no entendíamos lo que Dios estaba haciendo detrás de escena.  Pero Él estaba allí.  Hubo temporadas marcadas por luchas y heridas del pasado temporadas que  probaron nuestra fortaleza y nuestro compromiso. Ahora, al mirar atrás, vemos que  Dios no estaba distante; Él nos estaba preparando. No solo para el matrimonio, sino  para un pacto.  Él nos encontró en nuestras debilidades. Restauró lo que necesitaba ser restaurado.  Sanó lo que necesitaba ser sanado. Fortaleció lo que pudo haberse quebrado. Lo que  antes se sentía pesado se convirtió en testimonio. Lo que antes era incertidumbre se  convirtió en entrega. Nos casamos legalmente hace años, pero con el tiempo Dios comenzó a llamarnos aalgo más profundo. Nos mostró que el matrimonio es más que amor es sacrificio,  perdón, humildad y elegirnos cada día. Y lo más importante, es ponerlo a Él en el  centro de todo.  Esta celebración no es el comienzo de nuestra relación. Es una rededicación un  momento en el que nos presentamos ante Dios, nuestra familia y nuestros amigos y  decimos:  “Vemos lo que has hecho en nosotros. Vemos cómo nos has sostenido. Y te elegimos  como el centro de todo.”  Todo lo que somos hoy como esposo y esposa, y especialmente como padres  es por Su gracia.  Athena, David y Alyson son recordatorios vivos de la gracia de Dios en nuestras vidas  la razón por la que luchamos, la razón por la que crecimos y la razón por la que  elegimos el pacto cada día.  Nuestros hijos pueden ver un amor que ha sido refinado por la fe, fortalecido en  oración y reconstruido sobre la verdad.  El 17 de octubre de 2026 no solo estaremos celebrando una boda. Estaremos  celebrando redención, crecimiento y la fidelidad de Dios en nuestra historia.  “Yo y mi casa serviremos al Señor.” — Josué 24:15  A Dios sea la gloria por lo que ha hecho y por lo que aún está escribiendo.
